WebP to JPG Converter

Make a JPEG copy of a static WebP image for a destination that does not accept WebP. The tool opens with WebP input and JPG output selected, and checks the actual file bytes.

Preparing your workspace…

Choose the right background

JPEG cannot store transparent pixels. Pick a background color before conversion, particularly for product cutouts and logos. A white background is the starting choice; review pale edges against it before downloading.

Convert and compare

Select one or up to ten WebP files, choose JPEG quality and run conversion. Each file gets its own preview, actual byte count and download. A conversion is not guaranteed to be smaller, and JPEG adds lossy compression.

Static images and limits

Animated WebP is rejected rather than silently flattened. Inputs are limited to 25 MiB per file, ten megapixels per image and 50 MiB / twenty megapixels per batch. Processing stays in your browser; keep your source WebP for future edits.

Common questions

Will the JPG have the same transparency?

No. JPEG has no alpha channel. Choose PNG instead if you need transparent areas.

Can changing the extension do this?

No. This workflow decodes WebP and encodes verified JPEG bytes; renaming a file does not convert its format.
