Preparing your workspace…

Pick dimensions without losing your composition.

Start with a square post, portrait post, vertical story canvas, thumbnail or landscape sharing canvas. These presets are editable starting points, not guarantees of platform acceptance. Contain keeps the full image with transparent padding by default; cover crops the center; stretch changes proportions. Unlock the source aspect ratio when entering an exact canvas size.

PNG is the default output to preserve alpha. JPEG uses your selected background color. Percentage scaling uses the source image dimensions; enlarging requires explicit upscaling permission.

A few simple steps.

  1. 01

Choose an image and set the output width and height.

  2. 02

Choose contain, cover or stretch. Contain adds the selected background.

  3. 03

Create the resized image and check its dimensions before downloading.

INPUTJPEG, PNG, static WebP
OUTPUTJPEG, PNG, WebP when supported

Good to know.

  • Maximum input and output: 10 megapixels, with edges no larger than 8,192 pixels.
  • Upscaling cannot recover missing image detail.
  • Cover mode crops from the center; contain mode preserves the full image.

A little more clarity.

What is the difference between cover and contain?

Cover fills the new dimensions and crops overflow. Contain fits the complete image inside them and fills the remaining space.

Is orientation preserved?

The browser decodes orientation before the resize operation so the visible image stays upright.
