Remove EXIF from JPG
Create a cleaned JPG copy with JPG input and output selected. This workflow re-encodes the decoded image and checks the targeted output metadata structure before releasing a download.

Camera photos and orientation
JPEG camera photos can contain EXIF GPS, capture time, orientation, thumbnails and profiles in application segments. The browser applies orientation while decoding; the output is a new JPEG, so lossy re-encoding can alter pixels and color profiles are not preserved.
Export a verified copy
Choose a static JPG up to 25 MiB and ten megapixels. Choose JPEG quality and a background if needed. Run cleanup, wait for verification and download the new file. A failed verification does not release an unverified cleaned output.
Metadata removal is not anonymization
A photograph can reveal a face, number plate, address or location through visible pixels even when metadata containers are absent. Keep an original, inspect the output independently for sensitive work and review the destination's privacy settings. No selected image is sent to our server.
Common questions
Is this a lossless edit?
No. JPEG is decoded and re-encoded. Keep your original if you need an archival copy.
Does it remove every possible identifying fact?
No. The tool verifies its targeted container policy; it does not remove information visible in the picture or guarantee complete anonymity.
